Coach Zack
Recreational Coach
Coach Zack started working at ITG in August of 2004. He is a
former cheerleader. He teaches Rising, Shining, and Tumbling
classes. He is a graduate of Kapolei High School and will be
attending Remington College this fall to pursue his degree in
Massage Therapy.

The Covington's
Gym Owners
After working together as co-directors of Bela Karolyi's World Gymnastics
Summer Camps, Kari & Utah decided to pursue their dream of building a gym
together. Kari & Utah founded Island Tumblers Gymnastics, LLC with the desire to
provide their students with a clean and safe training facility filled with knowledgeable,
friendly, and kind staff. Island Tumblers Gymnastics, LLC was founded with only
120 students in a 4,000 sq. ft. facility. Today ITG has grown to over 900 students
and a 10,000 sq. ft. facility. Today, they are living the life they once dreamed of in the
company of their new baby Hunter Colby Covington who was born May 9th, 2006.

All of the staff members here at Island Tumblers Gymnastics are committed to providing every
child with the opportunity to shine like a star. All of our staff members are individually trained to
provide your child with a positive, safe, and fun learning experience.

Coach David
Men's Team Director & Mobile Program Director
Recreational Coach
Coach David started working at ITG in July of 2005. He is a
former competitive gymnast and cheerleader. His favorite
event is Pommel Horse. He teaches Rising-Extreme, and
Cheerleading classes.

Coach Shanyn
Recreational Coach
Coach Shanyn starting working at ITG in April of 2007. She is a
former gymnast and comes to us with five years of gymnastics
experience. Welcome Shanyn!

Coach Olivia
Recreational Coach
Coach Olivia Started working at ITG in January of 2007. She has been
a cheerleader since she was five years old! She is currently attending
Leeward Community College.

Coach Lawrence
Recreational Coach
Coach Lawrence started working at ITG in January of 2006.
He is a former cheerleader and tumbler and comes to us with
five years of gymnastics and cheerleading experience.

Coach Julie
Recreational Coach
Coach Julie started working at ITG in June of 2006. She is a former
Damien Cheerleader and currently attends University of Hawaii. She
comes to us with seven years of experience in Cheerleading and
tumbling!

Ms. Jeneile
Secretary
Ms. Jeneile started working at ITG in April of 2007. She currently
attends Kapiolani Community College and is pursuing a career as an
x-ray technician.

Coach John
Competitive Team Coach
Coach John will be working at ITG until the end of April 2008. We
have had a wonderful compulsory season with him and wish him
the best of luck with his new family and relocation to Texas.

Coach Phoebe
Recreational Coach
Coach Phoebe started working at ITG in October of 2007. She is a
current level 8 member of our women's competitive team.

Coach Charles
Recreational Coach
Coach Charles started working at ITG in November of 2007. He is a
former cheerleader and tumbler and comes to us with three years of
gymnastics and cheerleading experience.
